Having politically manoeuvred all parties including the opposition they locked-down the nomination process ensuring only three pre-approved establishment loyal candidates would be on the ballot this October.
Guaranteeing much less candidate choice compared to the most recent previous presidential election, making sure no genuine outsiders or popular presidential candidates were represented on the ballot paper affording the chance for the people of Ireland to choose the right candidate for president in 2025 as they see fit.
