At Monday’s Dublin City Council meeting Sarah Louise Mulligan addressed Dublin City Council in an attempt to secure a Presidential nomination and was repeatedly shut down, jeered and misquoted by many of the council members, who also went on to sneer at even just a mention of Charlie Kirk. Yet they accuse others of being ‘fascist’.
Malachy Steenson requested that the Fine Gael Lord Mayor not chair the meeting due to the fact his party had been instructed by their leader not to vote for any independent candidates, which he refused.
The council would then go on to refuse to nominate anybody, when the Lord Mayor asked if this was agreed among the Council members, Malachy asked for a vote instead. The vote went ahead and was defeated 50-9, meaning Dublin City Council did not nominate any candidate.
